Dual specialization in mba is a term you might be hearing every now and then but must be wondering what it is? Well, we will tell you about it. Dual MBA actually means that one can Do MBA in two categories. He can combine two sections like HRM or finance or MBA, etc.
While these seem to be attractive, one should look for a good combination of the streams chosen. One must avoid some weird combinations. Like, some people choose Finance and Marketing combination which is actually senseless. This is because the two streams are very different to each other. Let’s take an example. A person can go for such kind of degree with Finance as the major subject and Marketing as the minor subject. Now, since Finance is major, he will go for a job which is related to accounts and similar. So, what was the point of Marketing in this kind of job? This actually renders a loss on time, effort and money at the end. The other way round, there could be Mba In Marketing Management as major and finance as minor, which would not work either.
These courses do not work out much because not many companies need a combination of both the profiles. So, if jobs are not there, then what is the need of mba with dual specialization?One should not go for a course just because someone recommended the same. Or, because it is a new course and hence, might have much scope. One must definitely go for the course which he finds interesting.
Therefore, if you are planning to excel in a certain field, acquire proper knowledge in one field, take up good internship, get expertise and then work effortlessly in the job you want to make your career in.
